Philanthropy is a huge part of our chapter at University of Michigan Alpha Phi. Money we raise goes to the Alpha Phi Foundation to help promote women's cardiac care. Throughout the year, we put on and participate in several events to show our dedication to service and community.

Red Dress Gala
Our annual Red Dress Gala is our biggest philanthropy event of the year, with the 2008 event raising more than 16,000 dollars for the Alpha Phi Foundation. With a silent auction, raffles, dinner, and live entertainment, the event was a huge success and we can't wait to raise even more money this year! Please follow the above link to find out more about this year's event.
Alpha Phi-esta
Alpha Phi-esta was put on for the 3rd time last March of 2009 over St. Patrick's Day weekend. An "all you can eat" buffet of Mexican food is a great way to raise money for our philanthropy and is a blast to put on!
Philanthropy Bar Night - Live at PJs
The Alpha Phi Theta Chapter added a new philanthropy event to its calendar last year with a bar night. For a first endeavor, the night was very successful and involved the local Ann Arbor community, while also giving our sisters a chance to go out and have fun while doing good.
Greek Week 2009 - League of Extraordinary Greeks
As part of Team Captain America with fraternities Alpha Delta Phi and Chi Psi, Alpha Phi participated in a week of events that all raised money for local Ann Arbor charities. From the Egg Toss to Eating Contests to Scooter Races in the Diag, Alpha Phi gave its all to work with the entire Greek community for this great cause. At the culmination of the week's events, the Alpha Phi teams earned 2nd place in the Sing competition and 3rd in Variety. Our Greek Week representatives were Ally Stencil, Lauren Frome, Madison Hale, and Sarah Traver, and with all their hard work, all of Alpha Phi came together for this outstanding philanthropy event while we also were able to form relationships with other members of the Greek community.
